EAT OUT TO HELP OUT
This August, we’re serving up the perfect excuse to eat out – and to eat out again and again. From breakfast, lunch and straight through to supper, across all The Lucky Onion restaurants, we are doing the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. So, sit back and enjoy 50% of all food and non-alcoholic drinks up to £10 value per diner. Even better, you can use the scheme as many times as you like between 3rd August and 31st August, Monday to Wednesday. And with all our pubs and restaurants launching new menus, sporting the best local produce, it’s the ideal time to get stuck in and start feasting.
Start your day in style with breakfast in one of our beautiful Cheltenham townhouses. No.131 has all you could possibly want, with cooked-to-order favourites including our outrageously good Full English breakfast (vegetarian option available). For breakfast in the rolling countryside, hotfoot it to our 17th-century coaching inn, The Wheatsheaf, in the market town of Northleach and devour such delights as Smoked Salmon, Scrambled Eggs and Sourdough Toast.
For lunch, either stay in town at No.131 or perhaps head around the corner to local favourite, The Tavern. Serving comforting, taverna-style food inspired by flavours from Europe and beyond, take your pick from the likes of Hot Buffalo Chicken Wings with Blue Cheese, Mac & Cheese and Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger and Fries. Otherwise, head out into the Cotswolds and stop off at one of our recently re-opened country pubs. The perfect places to meet, eat and make great memories, both The Crown in Minchinhampton and Guiting Power’s The Hollow Bottom, the premier racing pub, have an ever-changing list of mouth-watering dishes – try Dunkerton’s Cider Battered Fish and Chips, Mushy Peas and Tartare Sauce.
When it comes to supper, take full advantage of the Great British Summer and see out the day, whiling away the hours on one of our beautiful terraces. Sample our Grill Menu at No.131 with the well-marbled and succulent 8oz Entrecote Prime Cut Steak. Pizza in the garden at The Wheatsheaf is also hard to beat with delicious toppings such as Spicy Paddock Farm Italian Sausage, Tender Stem Broccoli and Mozzarella. The new Gin & Juice Garden at The Crown should not be missed, too – topped off by tucking into one of our utterly sinful puddings (order the Chocolate Fudge Pudding & Double Cream). And if the British weather is proving unpredictable, we have fabulous fireplaces to curl up beside.
